At least 24 biotechs and pharmas are slated to report
earnings this week. Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX) is
expected to swing to profitability on top-line growth of 313% to $472 million,
while Incyte Corp. (NASDAQ:INCY) is anticipated to break even on revenue
growth of 403% to $84.6 million. Both companies have new drugs on the market:
Vertex's Incivek telaprevir was approved for HCV in May 2011, and Incyte's
Jakafi ruxolitinib was approved for myelofibrosis in November 2011. Specialty
pharma Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc.
