(NASDAQ:GENZ) announced EPS that missed the analyst consensus estimate last Wednesday, but the stock jumped 15% on Friday on media reports of a potential takeover by sanofi-aventis Group (Euronext:SAN; NYSE:SNY). The shares ended the week up 21%, adding $2.9 billion to Genzyme's market cap.Gilead Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD) fell $0.09 to $32.91 on Wednesday after missing the Street's 2Q10 EPS and cutting its 2010 sales guidance, but recovered to finish the week with a 5% gain. Biogen Idec Inc.
