A new deal between GNS
Healthcare Inc. and Covance
Inc. to develop predictive clinical trial models for diabetes is one
example of how big data tools are being applied to drug development.
Last week, GNS and the CRO
partnered to develop computer models to predict the likelihood of a therapy's
success based on available safety and efficacy data, with an initial focus on
Type II diabetes.
