Ironically, a plumbing
operation FDA says was prompted by unauthorized leaks of commercial
confidential information resulted in precisely the kind of release it sought to
contain.
About 80,000 pages of sensitive
agency documents that were inadvertently made accessible over the Internet for
at least two months were removed from public view on July 13, but directories
cataloguing the contents of the documents remained publicly accessible for at
least another week.
