Who you are

  • You have time to read the complete posting, not only key words.

  • You are looking not just for a job but for a place that fits you and where you fit well;
  • You can work both independently on a project and in close collaboration with others in a small Information Services group within a not software-development-oriented company;

  • Solid working knowledge of ASP.NET/C#, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, LINQ, HTML, CSS (everything you need to work with ASP.NET web applications, web services, WCF, Windows servies, Win Forms, etc.);
  • A working knowledge or willingness to learn VBA (you’ll need it to support in-house MS Access databases and MS Word macros). In the cover letter please mention whether  VBA is something you’ll need time to come up to speed with;
  • Microsoft SQL Server (views, stored procedures, data manipulation);
  • Bachelor's degree in computing or engineering field;
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience.

The work environment is casual; however professional behavior, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are absolute requirements.  Finally, all BioCentury employees are obligated to meet the highest standards with respect to accuracy, conflict of interest, intellectual property rights, slander, confidentiality and respect for information sources and readers.
